The Linked Processes panel displays linked process instance details. The process instance links are created when any process instance is aborted and started or aborted and joined from existing process instance. It also displays Link Type, Link Create Time, Link Create User and Link Comment along with Actions column. To view the linked process details, click the linked process name from Process column or click Process Details icon in the Actions column.

The following sections provide details about actions and toolbar options for linked processes.
The created process instance links have different link types. The links are established between root processes, even if the source and target process instances are not root process instances.
If you want to view the source or target process details then click on the process name displayed in the Process column.
Link Types are created according to the type of link operation, as described in the following sections:
The following link types are created if the process instance is aborted and started:
Switched ToSwitched FromThe following link types are created in case the process instance is aborted and joined:
Joined ToJoined FromThe following link types are created if the current process is paused until the newly started process achieves the Complete state:
Inserted IntoInsertedIn the following example the process details can be read as the Target Process (1) is Inserted Into (2) the Source Process (3).

The following link types are created if the operation migrated the process instance to a different version of the same process definition:
Migrated ToMigrated FromThe following link type is created if process instances are linked by a generic link type, which was provided via API:
The actions for linked processes are same as for Process History. But note that the Abort Process icon is disabled in the following scenarios:
You can abort a process using the Abort
option.
Note that if you do not have abort rights a notification gets displayed in the Abort Process dialog.
To use the abort menu for specific abort operations, click the down-arrow icon displayed next to the Abort Process icon and select one of the following options:
Click the Recover Process
icon to recover the process.
Using the Case Menu
option, you can create a case and attach to case.
