Welcome to Shadow Operative! Just a few quick tips: The game works best with a widescreen resolution of at least 1280x720, ideally approaching 1920x1080. The story takes place in the middle column. You read what happens and can type in commands like LOOK. Click on a visually emphasized thing (like 'hub') to examine it. Another way to enter commands is by clicking on them in the list on the left side of the screen. You can also enter complex commands, for example by clicking on 'insert ... into ...' and then clicking on one of the visually emphasized words (like 'data stick') and then clicking on another emphasized word (like 'hub'). Your inventory is listed on the right side. You can find further help under the HELP command. If you find the visual emphasis of the links distracting, you can switch it off with LINKS. The game has music, which will start playing after you enter the first command (browsers prevent automatic playing). You can switch the music on or off with the command MUSIC, and skip individual tracks with SKIP.
